Since December 2003 year our team has been in its own building, where SAGBAL “Doc. Shterev” and Medical centre “Reproductive health “ are also located. The hospital has been created with the effort and experience of “Shterevi’s” family – hereditary doctors and undisputed authority in their area.

Technique and equipment

The centre is equipped with high technological and expensive apparatuses. It enables all parameters of the incubators and the parameters in special nourishing environment in which the ovum and the embryos are raised, to be followed. The seven incubators allocated in two in vitro laboratories provide stress less life of the embryos as well as enough space for performing of a large number of cycles in the same day.On the one hand the two micromanipulators allow timely injecting of all extracted oocytes on the other hand the number of micromanipulators ensure additional option in case one of them get out of order. The laboratory tables and microscope stages to which the materials that come into contact with human gametes and embryos get in touch are digital warmed and maintain a constant temperature at 37°C.The division of the embryology laboratory from seminologic laboratory ensures European level of laboratory practice as the risk of infection of the oocytes and the embryos with the sperm liquid is reduced to a minimum.The cryobank has two premises and nine cryoconservation vessels for lasting preservation as well as two transport vessels for eventual transference of genetic material in case of need. All vessels are certified by European (Germany, France) and American producers and ensure proper storage of genetic material in time limit, fixed by the patients.
